This is a Teens Only Homeschool Group for the Midlands of South Carolina.
Teens seem to have a harder time with that intial conversation, then they open up and we get to see them grow as they interact with their peers.
We would like to gather at different places weekly and help that communication barrier. There will be icebreaker games at every meet and lots of interactions for the teens to get to know each other.

LHC is a Christian homeschool group built around the idea that we want to build relationships and community in the Lexington, South Carolina area among homeschool families. We want to offer an inexpensive social as well as educational experience for both the students and the parents through special events, class offerings, field trips and more. We also want to provide high school classes like yearbook, drama, labs, math's, histories, etc. that enhance their learning at home! All of the classes will be taught from the Christian perspective and geared to enhance what the students are learning at home.

LIFE is a Christian homeschool cooperative that meets one and a half days a week as a program that can either supplement your unique home studies, or fold into your core weekly schoolwork. Our program is structured, with opportunities for plenty of masterly inactivity (play). We also organize and offer field trips for our families throughout the year, on non-cooperative meeting days. We offer several mixed age classes, taught by parent volunteers and/or paid teachers. Most upper level classes will require some reading and/or writing as homework.

Their goal is to build a community of homeschooling families that support each other as we seek to assist, encourage, and guide you as you instill a lifetime love of learning in your children. We are enrichment oriented and focus on offering classes within the related arts, while still incorporating aspects of core academic subjects. They are a faith based co-op & offer classes for K-12th grade.

♡Parents...We need you!!! Would love for our LIT group to meet at least weekly. All our lives get busy so it works alot better if each of us set up Hangouts.
Setup: 1)Ask your child what they want to do. 2)Create event with details for friends to join. Bonus- Can be near you 😉 doesn't have to be Lexington at whatever time works for you.

Purpose:
1. To fill our children with the Word of God so that they may be a light that shines in a dark world.
2. To enrich our children’s education with lesson plans rooted in scripture that foster learning in all areas including reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, etc…
3. To build community with other Christian believers.
Target Age Group:
Lesson plans will be targeted towards the preschool and early education age group (4K- grade 3), but all ages are welcome and adaptations can be made to accommodate higher and lower levels of learning as needed.
Expectations:
1. Regular attendance ( at least once a month)
2. Kindness and respect towards one another
3. Willingness to share teaching responsibilities on a rotating schedule
4. Respectful use of facility
5. The parents/caregivers will be responsible for ensuring that these expectations are met
Lesson Plans:
We have chosen to begin by working through the Bible Busy Binder Lessons Volume 1 by Arrows and Applesauce for the next 10 weeks. We will then shift to a unit on the season of Advent for the remaining 3 weeks of the year. (we will not meet Nov 23, Dec 21, or Dec 28). At the end of the year, we will evaluate how the group wants to move forward into 2024.
Cost:
You may purchase the entire lesson plans and print them for yourself, or have us print them for you each week. Please let us know if you plan on coming each week so that we can have enough printed for each child. If you do not purchase the lesson plans yourself, we ask that you please donate $35 per family for printing and supplies
