The Forest School Programs of Valley Forest School are focused on nature-based skills including foraging, wild crafting, whittling, fire building, shelter building, and survival skills. Students are immersed in nature on a weekly basis through hikes, nature walks, lake swimming, creek exploration, campfire baking, and foraging for wild edibles. These students experience hands-on primitive skills through knot tying, fire building, local fauna and wildlife identification, and wild crafting.

Vanguard Homeschool Academy is committed to providing quality education experiences to homeschool students in the Greenville area. Vanguard provides homeschooling families an opportunity to extend their children's learning experiences one day a week by engaging students in classes in a wide variety of subjects. This is a Christian Co-op.

Veritas Classical Schools offers homeschooling families a unique complement to their home study programs with an emphasis on a classical Christian model of education. Veritas Classical Schools function in the role of tutor, assisting parents in their educational roles. Each student attends Veritas one day per week during the school year according to the child's age group.

W+F is open to any mamas homeschooling their kids. There is no requirement for how long you have been homeschooling or how long you plan to homeschool, just that you are currently homeschooling.
PARTICIPATION to remain a part of the W+F group once you have joined is that you are able to commit to coming to a meet up AT LEAST once a month. This helps you stay connected to the group and helps others get to know you. We meet weekly and provide many opportunities for participation, including many events beyond our weekly meet ups. To try and keep the group connected and building community together we do sort through the group (in our main communication location) at the end of each semester.
If you decide to join W+F there is also a participation waiver that comes from the Wild + Free organization at large that will have to be signed for your family. It is a one time signature. The leaders of W+F will have access to this waiver, as well as myself to the ones who have signed for our group.

This group is for families who homeschool in York County, SC and surrounding areas with elementary - middle school students. We will arrange park days and field trips throughout the year. Park days are typically biweekly on Wednesday
