Sumter Young Learners at Home is a Christian-based group that brings together homeschooling moms with children between the ages of 3-7 years old for fellowship, field trips and fun!

Location:

Midlands

Description:

Our classes are grouped into Learning Levels meant to provide broad benchmarks to help determine where each child is likely to experience appropriate instruction and expectations. However, we believe all students will find much greater success when placed in a class that matches their abilities, so children may attend a class that is not in their standard grade level.

(They offer online and in person classes)

Trinity Homeschool Academy Co-op

Location:

Midlands

Description:

This co-op was created to help lift the burden many families face while homeschooling. Many families struggle to find an enriching, edifying, classical, and Godly educational community for their families. This co-op will serve as a springboard for families who homeschool. By providing a Godly community for children and parents, families will be encouraged by one another in the trenches during the homeschooling years. Parents will model servant leadership by teaching their children or other students, assisting in classrooms, and volunteering for various aspects of community leadership.

Description:

W+F is open to any mamas homeschooling their kids. There is no requirement for how long you have been homeschooling or how long you plan to homeschool, just that you are currently homeschooling.
PARTICIPATION to remain a part of the W+F group once you have joined is that you are able to commit to coming to a meet up AT LEAST once a month. This helps you stay connected to the group and helps others get to know you. We meet weekly and provide many opportunities for participation, including many events beyond our weekly meet ups. To try and keep the group connected and building community together we do sort through the group (in our main communication location) at the end of each semester.
If you decide to join W+F there is also a participation waiver that comes from the Wild + Free organization at large that will have to be signed for your family. It is a one time signature. The leaders of W+F will have access to this waiver, as well as myself to the ones who have signed for our group.
We're so glad that you're here and interested in our group. We hope that you'll find it's a good fit for you and your kiddos. We hope you'll find community and your people here, and most importantly find encouragement for your homeschooling journey

Description:

Wild + Free | Rock Hill is a local chapter of the national WILD + FREE community.
We are a group of homeschoolers who want our children to not only receive a quality education, but also to experience the adventure, freedom, and wonder of childhood.
We're moms of different ages, number of children, parenting styles, religious backgrounds, and homeschooling philosophies with a common goal of a love for nature and giving our children opportunities to wonder and wander, be creative and curious.
Who is W+F for? Homeschooling families with at least one school age child who are looking for like minded community.
When? We meet weekly each Tuesday at 1pm during the school year and 10am in the summer. Once a month we have a Tuesday mom's night + a Friday Adventure Day.
Where? In and around York County, occasionally we'll venture 1 - 2 hours away. In the summer we like to explore our state and will venture 2.5-3 hours from York County.
Are there any fees? No, though occasionally there are fees for parks, museums, or
classes.
What can I expect? A laid back environment, to be outside, explore parks + preserves, get dirty or wet, have fun, and rediscover your own love + appreciation for nature while your children make lasting memories.

Welcome to the NEW Wild + Free Fort Mill, SC group! We're excited to have you!
We now have TWO Wild + Free Fort Mill Groups Available: School Aged and Under 5.
Under 5: OPEN
We are excited to announce that we now have a NEW baby, toddler and preschooler group for children that are under 5. If none of your children are currently schooled aged but you are looking to build community within Wild + Free and are interested in homeschooling, this group is for you! This group meets every other Friday in the York County area.
School Aged Under 10: WAITLIST
Our school aged group meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month in Fort Mill, SC.
This group was created to help connect homeschool moms and kids in nature to explore God's creation together!
This group is for homeschool moms of school aged children 5+ who also have preschool aged children and babies. That being said, we do require that at least one of your children is school aged and is currently being homeschooled (5 or older). Any younger siblings are welcome to join! This group does have a lot of younger school aged children and preschoolers so the age range for this group is 0-10 years old. We try to keep the walks very kid friendly, around 1 mile or so. Some of the trails aren't stroller friendly so I recommend a baby baby-carrier for children 2 and under.
We do require that you attend at least 1 meet-up a semester to stay in the group. Our hope is that this group becomes a community, so we encourage you to attend as regularly as possible and avoid occasional "drop ins" so that you and your kiddos can build friendships!
We look forward to meeting you!

About: We are a group of like-minded Christian moms who value our liberty and faith and love adventures in nature with our children! We are seeking to build a close-knit community, pursue freedom in education, ignite hearts for learning, and awaken wonder as we explore God's intricate creation. We do this through hiking, play in nature, quarterly book clubs, seasonal celebrations, and moms' nights.
The group consists of families with older children (middle school and up) but require a minimum of 10 years old for your oldest child (younger siblings welcome). We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 1-4, in a radius of 1 hour from Columbia, asking that families attend meet-ups at least once a month to maintain membership.

Description:

This isn't your typical "play date" group. The goal is for members to be regular attenders so that children can develop meaningful friendships and be "Wild + Free" together. It's also a place for moms to get to know each other and encourage each other in our homeschool journeys while enjoying the beauty of nature.
